Because every feather is a product of nature, no two are ever exactly alike. These natural characteristics are part of what makes genuine feathers so beautiful and unique.

Natural Feather Characteristics

Reasonable variations in the following characteristics are normal and should be expected:

Feather length
Feather width
Shape and natural curvature
Density and fullness
Colour tone and shading
Natural markings
Texture and softness
Weight

These natural variations are not considered defects and are an inherent feature of authentic feather products.

Where a product is sold according to a specific quality grade (such as Premium, First Quality, or Standard Quality), FancyFeather.com guarantees that the feathers supplied will meet the specifications of that grade.

Commercial Manufacturing Tolerances

Wholesale and bulk orders are supplied in accordance with normal commercial manufacturing practices.

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, the following tolerances may apply:

Feather quantities: ±5%
Weight-based products: ±5%
Bulk-packed feather products: ±5%
Handmade and manufactured products: commercially accepted production tolerances

Whenever practical, we aim to supply slightly more than the ordered quantity rather than less.

Dyed & Coloured Feather Products

Our dyed feathers are created from natural materials using professional dyeing processes. While we strive for excellent colour consistency, slight variations are a normal part of feather production.

Please note:

Small shade differences between production batches may occur.
Colours shown on computer monitors, mobile devices, tablets, and printed materials may differ from the actual product due to differences in screen settings, lighting, and printing processes.
Repeat orders placed at a later date may not be an exact colour match unless a custom colour-matching service has been arranged in advance.

Colour Matching Disclaimer

Colour names such as Pink, Hot Pink, Fuchsia, Royal Blue, Emerald, Ivory, or similar are intended as general colour descriptions only. Individual expectations of these colours may vary.

Unless a physical master sample, Pantone® colour reference, or another mutually agreed colour standard has been provided and accepted before production, FancyFeather.com cannot guarantee that a dyed colour will match a customer's personal expectation or previous purchase exactly.

If an exact colour match is critical for your project, performance, event, costume, or production, we strongly recommend one of the following before placing your order:

Request a colour sample or swatch.
Supply a physical master sample for colour matching.
Provide an approved Pantone® colour reference where applicable.
Contact our customer service team to discuss your colour requirements before production begins.

Orders produced without an approved colour standard will be considered acceptable provided the colour falls within normal commercial dyeing tolerances for natural feather products.

Variations in colour resulting from the natural characteristics of feathers or normal dyeing tolerances do not constitute manufacturing defects and are not grounds for return or replacement.

Handcrafted Products

Many of our feather products—including feather fans, boas, trims, costumes, accessories, and decorative items—are individually handcrafted.

As a result, slight variations in:

Overall dimensions
Feather placement
Stitching
Trimming
Construction details
Overall appearance

are normal and reflect the handmade nature of each item.

These differences contribute to the uniqueness of every handcrafted product and are not considered defects.

Our Quality Commitment

Only products that meet our quality standards are approved for shipment.

Custom & Made-to-Order Products

For custom-made products, production will be based on the customer's approved specifications, including artwork, colour references, measurements, samples, or written instructions.

Customers are responsible for carefully reviewing and approving all specifications before production begins.

FancyFeather.com cannot accept responsibility for errors resulting from customer-approved artwork, measurements, colour selections, or production specifications.

Inspection Upon Delivery

We encourage customers to inspect their order promptly upon delivery.

Any claims relating to shortages, shipping damage, manufacturing defects, or incorrect items must be submitted in writing within five (5) business days of receiving the shipment.

By accepting delivery, customers acknowledge the natural characteristics of genuine feathers and the reasonable commercial manufacturing tolerances described in this policy.
